The hackathon has been designed to collect students' feedback regarding road education. Following a bottom-up approach, students can speak up and report what they think are dangers and needs that should be address to have safer roads.
The 3C methodology is followed for the hackathon: community, challenge and no comfort zone. Students work in groups to select issues, and propose solutions and ideas to three different challenges:
- make an advertising campaign to promote road safety
- design safer road, considering their own cities
- design an instrument for people living with a disability who live the road as drivers or pedestrians
